More about me
I am a highly experienced communications consultant, media manager, and former award winning television news producer. I have provided media and TV interview training for private and public sector clients including WRVS, Lucas, Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply, Chartered Institute of Housing, HSBC, university professors, energy regulator, Birmingham City Council, Coventry City Council, Dudley Borough Council, and Warwickshire County Council.
I recently completed 3 years as Senior Communications Officer at the London Borough of Barnet, where I was responsible for corporate communications, marketing, public relations and media for four strategic regeneration schemes. This included a large portfolio of projects including the redevelopment of large Council housing estates, complex planning cases and area action plans, the council’s First Class Schools primary school rebuilding programme and Building Schools for the Future. For each, I produced and implemented communications and consultation strategies and communications plans, monitoring of plans and consultation.
As an Account Manager in a public relations agency prior to my time with Barnet I handled all types of PR and marketing with a wide variety of clients, including urban regeneration company Tees Valley Regeneration, science-based chemicals company Johnson Matthey Catalysts, scientific centre of excellence the Centre for Process Innovation, and arts installations for National Trust/Arts Council.
Previously, I spent many years in regional and national television news, in ITV, ITN and the BBC as an editor or producer.
